Pacific Rim Uprising – Unsane – Episode 260 – Horror News Radio

Kaiju Kraziness is in full effect on Horror News Radio this week! First, we got Pacific Rim Uprising, the sequel to the Guillermo Del Toro robot-vs-giant monster battle movie. This time, John Boyega leads begrudgingly leads a group of cadets into training when a mysterious Jaeger suddenly comes to threaten the peace of post kaiju world. If that’s not enough plot for you, don’t worry. There are fifteen other subplots involved! After that giant blockbuster, The Grue Crew goes intimate for Steven Soderbergh’s Unsane. It’s divisive reception to the story of a victim of stalking (Claire Foy) finding herself locked in an institution. Some rather enjoyed this iPhone shot experiment. Others found it as nightmarish as the hospital itself. And not in a good way. It’s a Dave-less Horror News of the Week, with the trailer for Deadpool 2, an alternate cut of The Shining and the potential of a Star Wars horror film. You know guest Christopher G. Moore is excited! Finally, another round of Phantom Factor! Hazzah!

Inoperable – Most Anticipated Genre Films of 2018 – Episode 252 – Horror News Radio

The diagnosis for The Grue Crew is a pretty mixed bag. The main topic for this episode of Horror News Radio is Inoperable starring Danielle Harris as a woman wondering an evacuated hospital. Not only does she have to face an oncoming hurricane, Danielle also has to face her time displacement that’s driving her up the wall. Then, The Grue Crew countdown the Most Anticipated Genre Films of 2018. Yes, it’s the other non-horror films of science fiction, fantasy, and superheroes. Still, there’s plenty of weird monsters, gore galore and post-apocalyptic nightmares. Dave Dreher then dispenses Horror News of the Week, with horror Academy Award nominations, a new Steven Soderbergh horror film trailer and the passing of a great horror author. Thomas then wraps up with another edition of Phantom Factor. Award-winning filmmaker Christopher G. Moore is also in for all the fun on an extended Horror News Radio!

[Podcast] Justice League – Episode 242 – Horror News Radio

Justice League lands with a 93 Million dollar thud. But the Grue-Crew find plenty to enjoy with the League while questioning some of the forced humor, vanishing mustaches, and the (yet again) terrible villain. What is happening with the superhero films? Dave Dreher is here to provide some news about George Romero’s rare cut of NOTLD, Steven Soderbergh’s new horror film, and The Rock’s adventures in the Rampage game-to-movie adaptation. Also, Doc and Thomas share their misadventures with a Patreon Livestream Q&A.
